Political life:

During his Cricket career, Imran Khan was offered for the political positions several times. In 1987, President Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq offered him a political position in the Muslim League, which he declined. Nawaz Sharif had also invited him to join his political party. Imran Khan had a good relationship with Zia-ul-Haq. He quit cricket but General Zia brought him back to cricket. He also played the 1992 World Cup at the request of General Zia.

On August 17, 2018, Imran Khan became the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan with 176 votes while his opponent and Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif got 96 votes.
